George Walton Academy
George Walton Academy speech lesson focused on Fritz Pollard. It was designed to be a new subject matter since this was my 4th year speaking there. The first visit, we talked about the Underground Railroad and some of the other conductors besides Harriet Tubman. The second presentation focused on Fredrick Douglass Patterson and the Greenfield touring vehicle, and the 3rd time I spoke I discussed others who sat in their seats in public transportation before Rosa Parks. All of these lessons tied into Atlanta hosting the Super Bowl .I took them back to the First Black quarterback and coach in the NFL at the conception of the NFL. – Fritz Pollard.
